Planet Jackers Drek And Nyssa

Last submission for 2013! (Boy, this year went by quickly!)

Yep, more Planet Jacker OCs. Why, oh why are there so few of them? They're a pretty cool Invader Zim species!

May I introduce ... Drek and Nyssa, the parents of Lonna ( fav.me/d6ytwme ).

At first glace, Drek may seem like an "all-brawn-and-no-brains" sort of guy, but he's actually smarter than most other Jacker males, as well as some Vortians he's known. If you're not sure what sort of fuel or spare part will work best for your ship, he'll be more than happy to help you out. He's mostly a pleasant fellow and fairly easy to get along with, but heaven help you if you gawk at or make a flirty comment about his wife! He is very protective of his wife, Nyssa, and their daughter, Lonna.

Nyssa is a chatty and rather sassy Jacker female with a knack for mechanics. One look at a broken machine, vehicle, or household appliance, and she'll get right to work fixing it. Like her daughter, she has a soft spot for the weak and defenseless; if she catches you picking on someone smaller or weaker, heaven help you if she happens to be holding something bulky or heavy, such as a wrench. She just might get angry enough to throw it at you!

As I've mentioned before, these two were once employed in the task of seeking out and stealing planets to fuel their system's dying sun. However, after witnessing one planet's disturbing demise, Nyssa couldn't bear the thought of throwing another planet into the sun again. Drek felt bad for his wife and wanted to respect her wishes, but he was also afraid of getting into trouble with their homeworld's leaders, as the consequences for failing to carry out his job were severe. Finally, he decided to take Nyssa and Lonna (who was a few months old at the time) and start afresh elsewhere. They found work at a service station whose owner was getting on in years and was looking for someone to give his shop to when he retired. Drek's knowledge from a previous occupation as an engineer, as well as Nyssa's excellent skills as a mechanic, soon won him over, leaving him convinced that his shop was now in good hands.
