Space Extravaganza Entry: July

Seventh and final entry for Space-Extravaganza! *pumps fists*

For this month's theme, which was "Cultural Appreciation", I chose an alien race of my own creation: the Lyuubans. However, since the Lyuubans don't normally wear clothes due to their culture lacking body shame and other such concepts, I just put Verde in a costume based on the female Lyuuban body.

Now I bet you're wondering why Verde is dancing with ribbons here, correct? Well, the reason those ribbons are there is because she's doing a dance based on an ability called "Flooding", which approximately 1 in 5,000 Lyuubans possess. Flooding enables the Lyuuban to manipulate water in its liquid form, often for use as a weapon against an attacker; however, it is also used as a special effect in many traditional Lyuuban dances. Since Verde does not possess the actual flooding ability herself (since she's not a Lyuuban, duh!), she's using blue ribbons as a substitute for the manipulated water.
