You Changed My Life...

Jet stared longingly into the vast night sky, an occasional sigh escaping his lips. The stars twinkled brightly in return, but the Irken saw none of this. All he could see was the face of his desired one, the one who for some reason was on his mind every minute of the day. Her vixen-like face, her soft pink nose, her gentle green eyes...try as he might, he could not forget her.

She was the one who had changed his life.

He remembered when he first laid his eyes on her. She was in a fight with an enormous Hogulus, and despite her efforts, she seemed doomed to become the beast's next meal. He knew he shouldn't help her; she was of an enemy race, and the consequences for aiding enemies of the Irken Empire were severe. But a strange feeling crept into his mind, and it wouldn't go away. Before he knew what he was doing, the Irken deployed every weapon in his PAK and fired them at the monster. As soon as it was dead, he rushed to help its would-have-been prey. She had lost consciousness, but was still alive. Her leg was bent at an odd angle, indicating it might be broken, but other that that she was still in one piece.

"She looks like she might be related to someone important," the Irken said to himself. "She could be a useful tool in bringing the Centaurius Vulpes to their knees. Maybe if I hand her over to the Tallests, they'll reward me handsomely..."

But when the time came for his prisoner to be handed over, he could not do it. He didn't know why, but whatever the reason, it wouldn't let him. Angered by his defiance and treason, the Tallests banished him to Earth with Zim, a punishment the Irken race considered worse than death.

But it didn't matter to him. The Tallests could do whatever they wanted to him, but they could never make him regret his descision. A life of exile with the most hated defect known to Irkenity was nothing compared to a life without his newfound friend, Princess Amaya Cherokee.

"Thank you, Maya. You changed my life..."
